why?

i initially wrote this during Gantala Press' GGSSG at Beanucot in 2024 (?). i've since reworked it for my undergrad thesis, and now a digital release without the major censors.

who are you?

Lillian Navales (she/her) is a trans woman writer-designer based in Bacolod City. Her work can be found in Kinaiya - PUSO(K): Mga Tula, Sidlak - The Mutien Marie Journal, and in the zines of the Santermo Writers Guild. Having grown up in the Middle East, she looks to write poems and columns free from barriers and bureaucracy.
